Magneto magnet charger hit miss engine.
Here is a magneto magnet charger I built, wound my own coils.
Using 1-1/8 round bar steel, number 12 solid jacket wire 5 turns.
Steel plates on top is threaded on, bottom solid plate threaded on.
I used my variable belt drive lathe to wind the coils. Electrical tape
to secure, a knife switch for on/off. Depending on amps and magnet
3 to 5 seconds once or more. Works very well.

IHC IH M 1-1/2 HP Igniter engine battery coil
Переглядів 1702 роки тому
Here is a parts engine I bought, was missing the head, igniter, fuel pump and other parts. Made a new throttle rod, found a rebuildable head and other replacement parts. Running off battery and low tension coil, made a bracket to close off opening were magneto would have been, mounted coil on it. Waiting on a new fuel tank and pump. Running of fuel in mixer at this time. This was a test run to ...

I bought this originally as a parts motor along with an igniter parts motor. Was missing a number of parts along with the WICO EK magneto, replaced missing parts with what I had and bought a mag online. Decided to put everything together first and then run to see operation. I did replace the rod bearing. Cleaned and rebuilt mixer, new suction tube and Needell valve. Fabricated a throttle rod, A...

Chicago and Northwestern bridge Fox river Carpentersville IL

This is the old Chicago and Northwestern rail bridge from the late 1800s. Going to the old Illinois Iron and Bolt company in Carpentersville IL. The line is abandoned and this is part of the trail, but in sad shape you can see, lack of funds and maintenance. The Fox river is taking its toll with winter ice and spring thaw ice. You can still make it to the other side at your own risk, have not b...

Here what I believe to be A 1964 Diamond T or older P-2000 with a Reo Gold Comet ( white 6-130 ) gas engine, and 4 speed manual with overdrive. Still looking for the VIN number to get title and confirm year. The drive train is IH not uncommon for them. Has around 72000 miles and a reman engine, was pretty much a city truck. The dump bed is driven from a PTO on the trans to a hydraulic pump. The...

I had the same bike, except for the light kit. Bought it from the orig owner in 1970, right after my friend bought one. That thing could climb anything in low gear. The spring for low gear would break prematurely and my friends dad came up with a fix and wrote Heathkit but they never responded. If I remember correctly it had something to do with adding a washer back near the spring assembly. What an awesome bike, wish I still had it. Don’t ever sell it! Subscribed!!

Got mine Christmas of 1970. Base was $199 & lights, horn & ya had to buy a motorcycle battery because the Briggs 5 horse didn't have an electrical connection like the Hilltopper did with the Tecumseh 5 horse. Man that's 51 years ago..

My dad worked at Heath Co in the twin cities Benton Harbor, St Joseph MI. My brother got one for Christmas. It came with a front ski too. My sister and I hooked up a saucer and off we went. My brother hit a dry patch of grass and I flew off and landed on my head! Lol!! Then one summer I took it for a ride in our driveway and later I was going to park in the garage but couldn't shut it off and it climbed the wall my feet were on the floor but I was still hanging on to the handle and screaming, my brother came out and rescued me! LOL!!

We could compare and see if you have changed much. :) My best friend had this Boonie in Kansas growing up back in the early 70's. It was a mail order out of Popular Mechanics. I think the kit was about $179.00 back in 1971 which is equal to about $1100.00 today. So you see, they get a much better bang for your buck today than we did as kids back then.
